Diane was our first official guest in Medan since arriving
back in Indonesia.
Unfortunately her visit coincided with Aceh's first local elections, so Sean had to go to Aceh
on her second day in Medan. Cheech was secretly thrilled to have Diane to herself. We drove up to Lake Toba, passing Brastagi and exploring the
surroundings. We got to pick our favorite fruit: strawberries! We
kept trying to out do each by picking the most and the biggest strawberries.
Though we didn't get to see as much as we would have liked, we enjoyed each other's company
and had fun chatting and gossiping! We also discussed where we should go
on our next tour so we can be together! Back in Medan, we enjoyed
the services of Cheech's regular
spa. The shopping was less enjoyable but the
disappointment was covered by watching the new James Bond movie, Casino Royal,
afterward. We miss you already, Di!
