Tulamben - Bali
When Cheech saw the opportunity to get away, she used
it to go diving in Bali and Jakarta. Tulamben is one of the dive sites she
dove, located in the
west coast on Bali Island. It is one of the most popular site in Bali due
to the sunken 1,611 tons USS Liberty which was torpedoed by the Japanese during World War
II. The gatling gun of this 100 meters length and 15 meters wide ship is covered by amazing variety of marine life. This is the best diving Cheech ever had. Once you dive you will know that
this is totally different than any other sites. You will find the most
friendliest fish-ever. The visibility is about 15m/ 50 ft. Sometimes
the waves is a little strong than any other day, but Cheech really enjoyed the easy
access for accent and descent. Plus, there are people carry your tank till
right up on the drop off. She did not feel the 'ache after dive' with
these dives :-) Spiraling schools of silver jack fish are seen and rotate
like a ballet dancers. Huge parrot fish, box fish, trigger fish, surgeon
fish, barracuda, zebra manta ray, alligator fish and many, many more.
Highly recommended.
Once Sean heard what Cheech
has to say about the dives, he surprised her by flew to Bali over the
weekend. This is the first time we get away just the two of us since Alec
was born. Unplanned surprise holiday.
Below are underwater pictures taken by amateur
with zero experience. This is the very first time we are introduced to
underwater photography.
