Washington DC 2005

Washington D.C. was Sean's 6th assignment and the 3rd assignment for us as a family.  Sean has been overseas for 11 years strait this year.

This assignment was extremely different because we finished our assignment in East Timor by the end of July 2005.  But we didn't arrived in DC until September 8, 2005.  Alec was challenged by the situation moving from one place to another and flying thousands of miles away (what he believes was) from home.  From East Timor - Bali - Jakarta - Manado - Bangkok - Japan - Chicago - Salt Lake City - Ogden (you would think that's the end of it).  Continued to Phoenix - California - back to Ogden and FINALLY, Washington D.C.

In D.C. Sean worked on the Indonesia desk but had been focusing on regional issues.  Cheech decided to concentrate more on the Financial and Accounting study, basically a huge carrier change for an easier access to work in the Embassies overseas whenever we assigned to a hard post.  Washington was a fun year for us.  We get in touch with our old friends again, devour visits to a gazillion museums and a lot of (serious) outdoor playing.  We didn't put every places we've visited on this page, but pictures on the right are at least places that I had the time to put my time on this website.  Enjoy!
